Clear skin begins from inside, advises health coach Olivia Carter, who has experienced amazing results from emphasising anti-inflammatory foods.
“Your skin’s condition directly relates to what you eat,” Olivia says.
Golden milk from turmeric
Stir heated almond milk with turmeric, cinnamon, and a little honey. Olivia comments, “This is my favourite way to start the day; it’s soothing and anti-inflammatory.”
Spinach Salad with Salmon and Eggs
Add grilled salmon to walnuts, fresh spinach, and a lemon vinaigrette. “Salmon is heavy in omega-3s, which help lower inflammation,” she says.
Berry smoothie
For a skin-boosting snack combine blueberries, spinach, almond milk, a scoop of collagen powder. Olivia points out that berries abound in antioxidants meant to counteract free radicals.
Top sliced avocado, pumpkin seeds, and a dollop of plain Greek yoghurt over roasted sweet potato cubes. “This is my go-to dinner for brilliant skin,” Olivia says.
Her last advise is “Pay attention to entire, nutrient-dense foods and keep hydrated. Your skin will say thank you!
